Domains, DNS, email authentication, hosting, and a technical set of eyes on the web developer you already hired.
Your email, your website, and the recovery path for nearly every login all run through it. We've found client domains registered in a former vendor's name, and one sitting three weeks from expiry with nobody watching it. A domain should be registered to you, renewed automatically, locked, and monitored. We take the renewals on ourselves, so there is no date in your diary left to miss.
SPF, DKIM and DMARC affect whether your invoices land in the inbox or the junk folder, and they make your domain harder to impersonate. They do nothing about a lookalike domain or somebody copying a staff member's display name, which is a different problem with a different fix. We configure it properly and coordinate with your marketing platforms so their sending doesn't quietly break it.
Most clients already have someone building the site, which is fine. We run the domain and DNS on your behalf, review what the developer needs, and check the result afterwards. On one site we found the forms had stopped delivering after a migration, weeks before anyone noticed. On another, contact submissions were going to an address nobody at the company could see.
We've moved client sites off expensive builder platforms onto hosting that costs a fraction as much and loads faster. If you're paying for a platform your site doesn't need, we'll say so.
It's a short conversation, and an uncomfortable one if the answer turns out to be a web developer you stopped working with years ago.
