Is this computer still getting security updates?
Your browser can reveal some details about your operating system and browser version. We show what those details tell us, and what you need to check on the device itself.
How to read your results GoodWorth a lookProblemCouldn’t tell
- Good
- This check found what it was looking for.
- Worth a look
- Something is missing, unclear or could be better. A good question to ask whoever looks after it.
- Problem
- A specific gap the check saw, or one you told us about. Worth acting on soon.
- Couldn’t tell
- The check could not see enough to say. That is not good or bad news.

Checking any Windows computer yourself
- Press the Windows key and R together, type winver and press Enter. The box names the version, Windows 10 or Windows 11.
- Microsoft ended regular security updates for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. Business editions can buy Extended Security Updates in yearly steps up to October 2028. See Microsoft’s own page.
- Being supported is only half of it. The updates still have to install, on every computer, apps included. That part needs someone watching, and no web page can see it.
Sometimes the client asks us to send a bill.
